Soul Fly
Cold days and lonely nights wash away those sunny days
memories that plague the mind
making you wish you had been left behind
Alas, the music has been put on repeat so it just plays and plays.
Images of that one damned night forever plays in the mind.
Losing oneself in the memory of just you and me.
Whispered words of futuristic dreaming
“I wish I could move ahead a couple of years.”
The heart had just renewed it‘s beating
“Why?”
Eyes filled with longing, meet blissfully happy ones
“To see if your still here.”
Anxiety spikes the blood with adrenaline as the words leave me stunned,.
“I will be here as long as you need me to be.”
Those words chased away the doubt, fear, and set her soul free.
