My Freedom
My tremendous legs, which rocked the earth
My racetrack screamed and sobbed with rage
My head held high, carrying my rider
My pulse was rushing, my chest was pounding, and my eyes were seeking
My mind was blank, I was focused on my purpose
My soul has a mission
My voice echoed in the thunderous jolts of the world around me
My legs devouring the track ahead
My rider's cries for help were heard by his comrades
My task is clear and straightforward
My mane was blowing in the battle wind
My country on my back
My stable shoulders eager to be free of their shackles
My mouth gaping with anticipation
My life has been given to my rider
My life for my nation
My fortitude gave me my freedom
My freedom to anyone who can ride me
My freedom raining free in the sounds of the night
My freedom for myself

I wrote this as an assignment in my writing class and I still think about it all the time. Enjoy.
