Ode to Beautiful Things
Beautiful things are very hard to find
Judging everything, being blind
Looking harder and harder for these beautiful things
Not knowing that it is you, you seek
Many people do not see the beauty
But we are like butterflies
Blind to their own beautiful colors
Flying and looking at others
Thinking that we are insignificant
Feeling insecure
Denying their own beauty
People are just as blind
Sitting there trying to find
Things that are beautiful
They do not know they seek themselves
Beauty is within everyone

I wrote this poem to show who many people, including myself, does not really like how they look. I wanted to show how people needed to accept themselves because they can't change.
