Socialiar
Sparkling conversation,
Gossip
Who wore what
Who’s dating who
Expensive fashion labels
And awards, premiers and after parties
Rich celebrities and stars
Directors, producers, writers, millionaires
On the surface it’s the best of the best
Non-stop parties and champagne
Everyone watches the stars
strut their stuff on the red carpet
On the surface it’s where everyone wants to go,
Who everyone wants to be
But sub-level,
On the flip-side to Hollywood,
It’s just a web of lies and deceit
Everyone’s out to get you,
Everyone wants to topple you,
And for some people,
It’s a long way down,
One fatal fall
There are no friends in showbiz
And the king and queen of Hollywood
Are the crowned pretenders
The worst people and the biggest liars
Of any other star
They rule
And people worship them like gods
When they shun these deceivers
And banish these socialites to the fringes of society
Which they once ruled
These jesters are Trojan horses
They may seem like gifts,
But truly they’re cobras,
Waiting to strike
These pretenders will spread the cruelest rumors,
Not caring about the outcome,
Who they affect,
Or how much it hurts
They merely seek to eliminate
The competition
These socialiars are the greediest,
Most selfish social climbers alive
Why let them thrive?
