Do You Know Who I Am?
You think you know me,
But you've never known, my love.
You think you love me,
But you've never loved, my sweet.
You think I'm yours,
But I've never been, my dove.
It's not you, that makes me compleate.
So, next time you see me,
don't think that I'm not the same.
I have always been this way,
Forever wild, never tame.
Always hunting,
But never hunted.
Always wanting,
but never wanted.
Hiding in the shadows,
But making sure I'm seen.
A sweet smile to everyone,
But being portrayed as mean.
Always being leader,
But not trying to take charge.
Always being small,
But being seen as large.
Somehow people confuse me,
With everything I'm not.
If they saw me for who i am,
That would mean a lot.
