Veterinary Hospital
I’m at a veterinary hospital
The air remains transmittal
I’m doing this for a job shadow
To see how everything works, though
Of whines and barks sounding
Through the halls they’re rebounding
A certain dog is injected with a certain red-brown liquid
To help its blood levels stay calm; lucid
The dogs are fitted into their own rooms
Placed with a bed and blankets; happiness looms
Large, clear cones are stuck in the dogs’ heads
To keep them from scratching; for no wounds to spread
I help a little, with spraying clear liquid on used tables
Not as extensive as cleaning stables
I helped with keeping a dog calm
Feeling her tongue licking my hands; my palm
After all this, I leave
I would like to work there; lots of animals to see!
