Shadows

My memories have faded into shadows,
walking the streets in my head.
I wish for them to stay as I watch
them go away.
These shadows cant exist,
the light fades away.
There cant be shadows
if the light is dead.
I sit here in the darkness
watching my shadows walk away.
Soon I will be alone
talking to myself again.
