Joy
Joy is the moon on a clear, cloudless night
High in the sky, it shines rather bright
Joy is the color on a sketchbook page
Purple and red and lilac and beige
Joy is the bliss of a dear friend's smile
As we sit and talk for a while
Joy is the story a good book tells
Of dragons, heartbreak, curses, and spells
Joy is all my loved ones near
The family and friends I hold most dear
Joy is the movies I play in my head
While I'm sleeping, safe in bed
Joy is something that is hard to find
And yet so easy to leave behind
Joy is something to be cherished
Or too quickly it will perish
