We live for others and not ourselves
Trying to please people we don’t know
Avoiding people we care about
Precious moments we dismiss without thought
Lying awake in what should be slumber over moronic things
Paying no attention to people that need help
Conforming to stereotypes
Saying we are unique when it is nothing but a lie
Trusting people who are more deceptive than a slithering snake
Paying people to keep track of our lives
Missing that one moment that means everything
Loving images rather than the pixels that make it beautiful
If only we could see ourselves differently
Where would we be
Throwing always knowledge for television and computers
Kissing without meaning
Saying without thinking
Committing without committing
This is our society
Isn’t it a depressing sight to behold
Where we rather deceive ourselves for the sake of others
