The Common Color, Blood.
The Common Color, Blood
The ones we called our Slaves,
The ones we beat,
And deprived of humanity because of color,
Are the ones who fought beside us, in war;
Bleeding,
Crying,
Dying,
as you did.
Feeling what you felt,
Feeling what you feel.
Pain,
Hurt,
Scar-ed as you are scar-ed.
Trained in combat,
To fight as you fight,
Able to be equal,
Only in war.
