Shipwrecks
Left in the darkness…deep down in the sea,
Waiting with secrets to tell,
They are left untouched and just let be,
Their location being too close to Hell.
The screams of the people that rode the ships down,
The fierce stormy weather that struck,
Being forced to swim for their lives or else drown,
Twas a notion they had run out of luck.
Swallowed up by the ocean, a marvelous power,
To never again be seen by the day,
They are sent to the bottom more hour by hour
While mere pieces wash up to the bay.
At the bottom they rest awaiting the night,
When their past secrets will be revealed,
Staying hidden in the shadows of the deep blue might,
That has kept them masked and concealed.
