The Answer
I met with God
At a shady old parlor
At one in the morning.
And I asked him
“God
Can you please wipe the dirt
Off my telescope lens
So that I can find the answer
In the stars?”
And God stroked his chiseled grey beard
And took a good, strong drink
And told me “Dear
The answer
Is the dirt
On your telescope.”
[Inspired by the quote: "We're looking through a telescope, searching the stars for the answer,
when the answer is actually a speck of dirt on the telescope lens." –Jason Q.]
