Going Away To College
I loved you, I left you, I set you apart
I grew up beside you, I followed my heart
I ate when I hungered, I laughed till I cried
I scratched where it itched and I left you behind
I couldn't quite see you I couldn't find me
I searched where I knew and forgot who to be
I left where I loved and I found where I knew
Was a place for the sins that I couldn't undo
So miss me tomorrow, I want you to know
That leaving you never meant letting you go
So mourn me, replace me, you don't need to stay
Cause our dreams for tomorrow won't matter today.
