A World Apart
It seems to be true.
We live in two different worlds.
Mine is full of danger.
Yours is what they call “normal”.
People tell me “be your self”.
But how do I do that when I don’t know who I am.
You help me see myself a little clearer.
In a world where I was meant to live in, but taken away from long ago.
My world is shrouded by danger and secrets.
Secrets that your world is protected from.
Dangers that my world takes care of so you don’t have to face them.
Why can’t I live in both and just be your protector from the dangers of my world and yours.
But it is forbidden.
And so we are a world apart.
