The packing of lunches and placement of food on our morning and evening plates

Describes the daily task of a mother who continues to show her incredible traits

The endless endurance of labor and polishing of hands and feet

To provide her son and daughter with an education and a future, a sacrifice so sweet

A woman derived from a background of poverty and unique traditions

Came to America with the desire of supporting her family with better conditions

A mother of two with whom she pours her heart and soul for

A charismatic and understanding individual with whom her children adore

A woman with dark brown eyes, black hair, and soft features

A woman of a loving nature who shows kindness towards all of God’s creatures

A nail tech by day filling her customers with such delight

For she provides comfort for her children as a mother by night

“Pick your head up and give it your best try”

Is a quote by my mom to never let good possibilities go by

My mother supported me with tender care throughout the years

Providing me with comfort in times of great grief and tears

I thank God every day for providing me with a gift so loving and true

Teaching me to live a life of happiness and a life less blue

This poem is for the woman who chooses to stick by my side towards the very end

For I will continue to call you my dear mother, model, and friend.
