Troubled Heart

My hearts in a cage,
I can’t let it out.
It’s spontaneous and dangerous,
Fears and ready to attack.
Do not touch,
Do not open, for if you do,
There’s no turning back.
Just a little warning,
For what to expect.
For this heart is already damaged.
So if you do cross the line,
Do me a favor,
Keep it safe and keep it warm.
For it needs that special healing touch.
Only from the one I love…
