Facing Fear
Once upon a time, I looked fear in the face.
I stepped into a brand new place.
Stunned by the noise, I took a seat,
Freaking out about my upcoming feat.
I had come from a place where I knew everyone.
I had loads of friends and tons of fun.
Now here I was preparing for my day,
I wanted to get up and run away.
Letting my thoughts run free,
I just had to get up and be me.
That day was tough, but I sure pushed through.
It wasn’t so bad being brand new.
As the days went by, I decided to consider,
That I’m feeling anything but bitter.
I started to realize that I like it just where I’m placed.
I’m glad I looked fear in the face.
