COTTON CANDY
I don’t want any presents.
I don’t want any cake.
I don’t wanna celebrate!
I don’t want any cheers.
I don’t want any singing.
I don’t wanna party!
I don’t wanna wear a dress.
I don’t wanna dance.
Just gather ’round—
say it ONCE—
that’ll suffice.
’Cus I just want to BREATHE.
I don’t want people
UP IN MY FACE!
I just wanna scream:
let me be,
let me be!
I don’t wanna go to town with make-up.
I don’t want my hair spun up like carnival treats.
I don’t wanna be all girly,
I don’t wanna do anything I don’t normally do!
I just want it to be like any other (normal) day.
