A Matter of Trust
What do you do,
when you’re torn between two?
Loyalty—
honesty—
all come in to play.
I’m bound to one by friendship,
and one, maybe more…
but I can’t choose.
What do I do?
I can’t tell.
That’s not a rule or a command.
It’s my bound.
I can’t speak the words,
resting on my lips—
the tip of tongue—
that I need, like air, to say…
but I can’t.
tell-don’t-tell-don’t-tell-don’t—
this conflict is killing me!
Yes, I’ll keep your secret—
yes, I’ll tell you the secret—
look into my eyes!
See the pain I feel
and know:
I’m bound by honesty and loyalty
to you both.
So I can’t choose.
I’m sorry,
but it’s not even up to me, anyways.
It’s up to trust.
