Familiar with the Seas
I grew up as one familiar with the seas.
I swam out at sunrise – and back at sunset.
I passed up every person in the breeze.
I saw the most powerful wave giving its wrath.
I swam past the biggest fish in the sea
And my eyes gazed, following the path.
I have floated on the surface and stared into the blue sky
When deep into the oceans dreams
Every breaking splash and fish that swims by.
But not to get stuck or forced to stay behind;
And treating water to stay afloat,
One beautiful wave remains stuck in my mind
All throughout my life
I swam for days, in twos or threes
I grew up as one familiar with the seas.
