The Busy Street
The busy street is now asleep
Its nightlights guide the way
For the weary traveler
Who’s wandered far astray
Lurching down the path he goes
No spring in his step
His days work is now complete
His routine nearly there
That house holds a light
Simple, yellow, bright
A shadow moves into view
The man smiles- his wife
The mans smile fades away
Another shadow’s come out to play
The shadow moves in for a kiss
A fact the man wouldn’t miss
The man feels something, from within
As he watches them preform this sin
His house now, seems dark and bleak
The busy street is still asleep
