the wind

it brings a coolness to the warm and sun
creeps in
between; and then it’s gone.
it sings
softly
seeping through the walls
quietly comes,
it tugs at hair and flaying cloth.
noise,
breaks through.
steals over all
the world like a tourist,
weaves in and about
the clouds
in the blue.
sways the trees
sings to stars
never ending.
it escorts
the smell of spring
away
and leaves a touch
of new.
