Night Mare
When the night mare arrives, I climb on her back using an unsturdy ladder,
My heart rate soars, my stomach drops, but it does not matter.
She flies above the clouds with me gripping her mane,
The night mare doesn’t mind me going insane.
There is no way to catch myself if I should fall,
The night mare doesn’t seem to care at all.
She drops to the ground and throws me off her back,
I see her wink before my vision fades to black.
My eyes pop open and my fingers shake with fear,
It had just been a dream, but the terror had been real.
