Finally Awake
After years of sleeping in your “perfect” World
My eyes are finally open to your lie
I can no longer pretend
No
I WILL no longer pretend
No longer believe your imperfect lies
My heart has screamed for far too long
My spirit restrained for many withering years
The chains lay broken
My heart lies open
You scream at me to fall back in line
I’m walking away
Your spell undone
I have to face the darkness on my own
I’m not coming back
So don’t bother calling
I will be free
You will see
The change comes slowly
But now that I’m FINALLY AWAKE
I will move forward and never look back
