R.I.P
water trails down my throat
glasses slink away
leaving behind a blurry mess.
radio plays off in the distance
though it's light glares at me.
roll into my favorite spot,
can't help but remember the day
ocean tears leak,
make trails of my face.
hidden remorse surfaces,
beat my conscience till it bruises
memories resurface, tributs paid.
sometimes, someways, i hope
there's a place where she can go,
rest and finally be at peace.
this, my grandmother deserves as much.
lying, shaking, crying,
finally, i digress.
