Why do people change?
Why do people change?
We all do, but why?
Do we get more mature?
Do we realize that we have been acting wrong?
Do we see that we could be better off by acting different?
Do we change for the better?
I go off being a better person
and helping all around us.
Realize we have been wrong
and changed because of it.
Do we change for the worst?
Go off as a worse person,
affecting the world negatively as we go.
Do we hurt people as we change?
Leave old friends and relationships behind
for new ones that could be better or worse.
Give up love just to be who we aren’t?
When we change, are we still ourselves?
In a new way you are but
you older self becomes a stranger to you.
Why do people change?

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes -
the ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo.
They push the human race forward.
