The black abyss sucks me in at night
Darkness covers my broken soul
Confusion spills from my mended heart
With each touch everything is tainted
Reminders of being lost in the world
Suffocates the only sanity I have left
Trying to fight through the pain alone
But turning to the path that was chosen for me
The path I so desperately tried to avoid
Knowing the past will become the future
Lingers in the shadows of my heart
For the past to be old
For the future to be new
The need to be different must stay true
