its a mad world
You tell me to look a certain way,
Then I’ll have friends,
But I shouldn’t have to change,
Just to fit in.
Impossible beauty standards,
And crazy fitness trends,
Is it really worth,
All that pain you’re in?
Just be you,
Let the world see,
The true you,
So you can be free.
Open the curtains,
Let the light in,
To shine the darkness away,
And be happy again.
Only you know what’s inside,
And that your outside is a lie,
So open up and don’t be shy,
Because you are someone's only light.
Just be you,
Spread your wings and fly,
Into the night,
Don't let the world drag you down.

i wrote it because i thought about all the crazy crap that people all over the world do to be thin or popular or whatever and it made me realize that this world is messed up. As i wrote i thought of the song mad world and then i realized that this world is messed up and we are to blame. we are the reason that we constantly compare ourselves to others because we want to be thin like them, or beautiful like them. We never realize that we are good enough. Wev never understand that we are smart and beautiful, kind human beings and deserve to love ourselves.
