Hope: An Elegy for XXXTentacion
Too many grow,
Lost in a haze of
Misfortune.
We grow tired,
Angry,
And in our anger
We raze.
In our anger
We create,
The fire leaves
The forest fertile,
And we grow.
We grow and anger
Turns to peace,
Hate turns to love,
For Malcolm X,
For Lennon,
For Tupac Shakur,
There are those
That hate when
Hate becomes love,
When eyes open,
To heaven,
To hope,
They are snuffed
Blind.
