Anxiety
I don’t like the way it creeps,
the way it crawls,
the way it seeps,
the way it drawls.
Through my veins
and then beneath,
the way it drains
my emotions' sheath.

Anxiety
That’s it’s name.
Don’t say it loud,
else become aflame
in a grey ash cloud.
Heat to hyperventilate
And drown in what’s burned
Can’t even walk straight
From what I have learned.

Why do you play?
Why do you hurt?
Mold me like clay?
Make my voice curt?
God, go away.
You don’t belong.
Don’t make me say
that you make me feel wrong.
