Drawing
A pencil sketches; draws
Slicing through paper like saws
My hand guides that pencil; twisting, turning
A joyful feeling is churning!
Gray-black lines emerge
Together, the surge
To create a creature of some type
Dogs, lions, wolves; all fresh and ripe
Like newly-sown fruits
Digging through roots
Lines connect; joining
Together like joints; coining
In structure
Never attempting to rupture
Once finished, I glance
At the drawing; seeing it dance
With vivid colors; splashing
Never thrashing
Red, yellow, blue, green, pink, purple, orange; they are
Dazzling as if lights from afar
I hope you’ve enjoyed drawing
And see the bright colors calling!
