My Moving Finger
Upon a canvas so wide and vast,
across which art will forever last,
was a world full of love and peace,
an answer to the earth's miserable pleas.
In this brand new world,
there was brightness and light,
in its midst joy swirled,
no hurt, no fight.
In this new world,
no one shed a tear,
in this new world,
there wasn't a trace of fear.
And before me lay a finished work,
upon which no hate would lurk,
an art where my thoughts still linger,
the sole creation of my moving finger.
