That Day
I remember sitting underneath a table from a yard sale we had once, in my driveway with Jenna in the rain. I told her all of my secrets that afternoon.
And it rained and rained.
And there was so much steam coming off the road.
At my old house, my dad planted a plum tree in the backyard, the day I was born.
When it would rain, I would stand underneath it with my dog. I loved that only half the rain reached us.
