Oh Say Can You See?
Flags in the wind are one of the hardest and most interesting subjects to capture. This photograph was taken on a windy day, when most other people would have never thought of trying to take a picture of a wildly waving flag. I wasn't going to stick around, but as I headed back I stood at this angle for a moment and looked up at the flag. For one second, there was no wind, and I managed to whip out my camera a second before the wind started up again. I got this photograph from a split-second decision, and by sticking around when no one else did. Turns out it was a wise decision.
