I Am Not Offended
I am not offended
I can walk down the street without being forced to believe someone else's religion
I don’t have to pray in school, even though the option is there for me
I have the right to free thought and expression
I am not offended
That I can say what I choose, even though others disagree
That the country I live in is free of theocracy
That no one pledges to something they don’t believe in
I am not offended
That Atheist’s can publicly denounce another persons god
That those people can publicly attack the Atheist’s belief as well
That we’re not ALL just robots, set to the same programming
That we have the key to uniqueness
But to get to that key, we must first decode our former programming
And unlock it for our self
I am offended
When a religion calls me a walking sin
When a group publicly hates me for me
When all I’m doing is voicing a counter argument or loving another human being
And they retaliate with force, not of the pen, but of the sword
I am offended
That in 2011 they’re still people whom follow a religion, that will tell you flat out
Those who do not agree, are sinners, and they will burn
That will create bigots, racists, and so called “moralists”
I am not offended
That there Is a religion, built on love and joy
On equality, on tolerance, and humanity
I am offended
That no one has thought of what to call it yet

A comeback to "I am offended"?
Very nice way to put it all. I love this.
