I think that even if you are not christian, you will make it in heaven! How do we know if what the bible says is true? We don't really have a reliable source for that. And just because you are not a follower does not? mean you are not his children. If God truly created us equally, in some way, why would there need to be a reason for going to hell or to heaven? In god's eyes we are his children, and nothing can change that. You shouldn't always trust something you read. I mean how do we know that they are hiding the truth from us with this bible?? How do we know it's not all made up?

I found myself looking around me at hollow faces, and wondering if this is it, if every heart on this earth has been stained. But then, when I look into our hearts, I see we're all like candles with beauty inside, masked behind wax, hardened by the pain we all must face. But when one of us begins to burn with compassion, our fragrance fills the air, and we unconsciously ignite others around us. I find that the wax melts, and that is our core, our beauty, our light that remains. Slowly we'll burn one by one, till the day we reach the end of our sticks and we're all burning with compassion. So maybe we all have to be set alight.- Percy Jackson, Wolf's Law Chapter 23.

I agree with you completely. Besides, the bible says if you aren't Christian you go to hell, but what if every religion says that if you don't believe in that religion, you go to hell. Logically speaking, that means everyone goes to hell. So yeah...

There's so much proof that His word is true and that He isn't lying. For God never lies. You say how do we know, that the Bible is not made up? Everthing in it is absolutely, beautiful and true and raw. I know you mighn't belive me now and won't want to and that you might not answer back, but His Word is not made up. It's not.    I just wanted to share all this, I'm sorry if I was rude or anything, but it's just ... His Word is not made up. It's not.    Thank you for sharing this. You have a talent and greatness in you; and I hope you know that, because you do. Your article is well-written, with just a few grammar mistakes and punctuation mistakes, but besides that; your article is interesting and unique and talentedly written. Thank you again. ^_^

I'm wondering about your belief in the trinity (that God manifests Himself as three beings). . . how does that make sense? To me, it sounds a little egotistical of Him, and that doesn't sound like God. It also kind of reminds me of Zeus, a ficticious god that the Greeks created, from their own imaginations, to explain the goings-on of the world. Basically, with the idea of the trinity, it feels like God just parades around, doing whatever He wants to make Himself seem almighty and all-powerful; when I read a description of the trinity, I feel like a play-thing of the universe. My idea of God, and Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, is different. I believe this: they are three separate beings; God is our Heavenly Father, the father of our spirits; Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten son of Heavenly Father; we were all in heaven with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ before we came to earth, but we didn't have a body; Heavenly Father wished us to become like Him, so he presented a Plan of Salvation to us, creating a way for us to return to Him with our own bodies; this plan required a Savior, to die for our sins, for we would be imperfect; Satan (or Lucifer) had a plan as well, which was that he would be the "savior" and make us all return to Heavenly Father; Jesus offered to be the willing sacrifice and allow us to have a choice of whether or not we will try to return to Heavenly Father; there was a war in heaven and 1/3 of the heavenly host followed Satan when he was cast out; the rest of us agreed to come here and live our lives as Heavenly Father wanted us to, in order to return to Him. The Holy Spirit, or the Holy Ghost, is His spirit, sent here to comfort and guide us. Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings, all of whom love us. I do not profess to know all the mysteries of God (that would be dumb), but I know what I believe, and I have felt that it is true.

It is true that all are God's children, and he loves them all, but that doesn't just give us a free pass into heaven. And we do know that there is heaven and hell, because we know that there is God and the devil. No unclean thing can dwell with God, so. . . they have to have somewhere to go, right? Like a good parent, our Heavenly Father wants us to learn and grow and make it back to Him, and that won't happen if we don't get to experience life here on earth. That means that we will all make mistakes; none of us are perfect. If God is a just god (and he has to be, otherwise he would be a ficticious being brought about by the imaginations of mankind), then he must judge justly, and that means that according to our actions, we will be judged; if we do whatever the heck we want on earth, but expect to get into heaven, we will be sorely disappointed. By default, in order to be fair and just, God can't bring us to live with Him if we have not tried our very best to live worthily of that glory. And he has informed us, and commanded us, that the best way to live worthily of his presence, the only way to get to heaven, is to believe in Him and Jesus Christ, and live the way they would want us to. That is to say, follow their examples of living righteously. Because of the different translations and interpretations that have influenced the bible through the years, the bible does have incorrect things printed in it, and there are many different versions of the bible; it's hard to find the one that is the most truthful. But I believe that God will let you know if what you're reading is true, and if you don't know, then you can always ask Him.

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭15-18, 36‬ NKJV) hear the word of god, believe, repent, confess that Jesus is the son of god, and be baptized (1 Peter 3:21)(immersed in water) and remain faithful ( Revelation 2:10) and you'll be saved and go to heaven. If you choose not to do so, then, yes, you WILL go to hell "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭12-15‬ NKJV)" but understand god doesn't want anyone to go to hell "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (‭II Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ NKJV)"

I believe in God, because there is no way, that there isn't something bigger than all of us. Coincidences are not just that. They are God's way of telling us something.

Personally, I don't believe in the existence of a God OR of an afterlife. But, even faced with stone cold proof of God's existence, I still don't think I would be able to make myself follow a religion so stictly against my personal beliefs about ethics and morals. I guess I'll see y'all in Hell.

Hi, Ally_Yang. I could argue all day in favor of the Bible, but I think the better way to answer it to share why we Christians  believe what we believe. I just thought I'd share.  1. We believe that God is the all-powerful Creator of the universe. Including mankind. 2. As our Creator, He can do as He pleases with His creation. Which means us. 3. Satan, the Devil, was once Lucifer, a cherub. Not a cupid in a diaper. A powerful, beautiful being of God's own design and purposed for God's service. 4. Satan rebelled. He though he could do God's job, and he deluded himself into thinking that he, a creation, could overpower his Creator. This was the first lie in the universe. He fooled one third of the angels into believing his lie. 5. God punished Satan and the rebellious angels by casting them from heaven. They are currently roaming the earth today, as they were in the time of Adam and Eve. 6. When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them Eden to live in. They were to care for the garden. God visited the garden often. 7. Only one thing was forbidden to them: eating of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  8. God put the tree there to give mankind a choice: love and obey Him, or act as if we knew better and in so doing oppose Him. The angels in heaven had only seen heaven and God's glory. They had had no concept of what disobedience could lead to before Satan rebelled. To give man some context, God warned Adam and Eve that if they ate of the tree, they would die. * I should mention the meaning of death. There are two kinds:  bodily and spiritual.  Bodily death is a separation of the soul from the body. Spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. 9. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree, they sinned. God is holy. Holiness means that anything unholy cannot be tolerated. Because sin is unholy, and sin now stained Adam and Eve, their souls were separated from God. They were spiritually dead. 10. Genesis 3:15. God promised to send a Deliverer, Someone to reconcile humankind's dead souls to Him. You see, because we inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve, we cannot reconcile ourselves to God. Our sin speaks louder than our good deeds ever will. 11. MOST IMPORTANT. Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is God. God is one God; He expressess Himself to us in three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. Jesus, God the Son, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life (Because He is God, He has no sin.), and died on a cross. 12. His death was the retribution for mankind's sin. By taking our sin on Himself, Jesus became the sacrifice to end all sacrifices. He rose to new life on the third day after His death. 13. To be saved, one must simpy confess by mouth that Christ is Who He says He is: God the Son, the acceptable Sacrifice for our Sin. One must also confess his own sins and believe that God raised Christ from the dead. If you have that faith in your heart, your sins are washed away. You are forgiven, pure, a child of God. Hell is not for you. So who is hell for? God, the Maker of all that is beautiful, also made hell. He formed it as a place of eternal punishment for Satan and his demons, the original sinners. People who do not trust in Christ as Savior will go to hell because, through their unbelief, they are not reconciled to God. At the end, God will cast Satan, his demons, and the living unbelievers into hell. He won't be happy to do it. Christians believe the Bible is God's Word. He spoke, the men He chose wrote what He said. As for whether you should believe it if you read it, I encourage you to let the Book speak for itself. Ask God to let you hear Him, and dive in and read. Then decide. Okay Ally_Yang, that's all I've got for you right now. I'm pointing you to the first three chapters of Genesis. Start there, I think. Love you, and I'm praying for you. God bless.

Seller is right. Not telling people about Christ is like having the cure for cancer (only much, much worse) and watching people die without doing anything.

---Psalms 8:3-4

We know it's not made up, because everything else in the Bible is true. God created the world- if he didn't, how would it be here? God loves us all- if he didn't, we would have no hope and, ultimatly, no reason to live. Hell is a very real place for those who don't accept Christ as their savior. Anyone who is not a Christian follows Satan, whether they know it or not. Satan created Hell. God created Heaven. He gives us the choice of following Him and living for Him, or rejecting Him and following Satan.

hi! i just wanted to tell you that yeah, God loves you no matter what, and u r right about that. but here's the thing-- God's compared over and over to a father. he just wants whats best for his children. God gives us the choice to follow him or not. if he didnt, we'd all be like robots and we coudn't make any choices. thats not Gods best for us. its because he loves us and wants us to choose to love him that we get a choice to do so. i'll pray for you :) Jesus loves you no matter what, and so he gives you the choice to love him back.

Elanelane07 - if you knew a way that anyone could instantly be a billionaire, wouldn't you tell anyone you could?! What if they said "shut up stop talking to me" wouldn't you be wondering what's wrong with them? This is a matter of eternal consequences - you scoff at it now, but if you do not repent, there WILL be a consequence, I can promise you that. Laughing? Well I challenge you to think about God. I'll be shocked if you can give me one logical explanation that denies the existence of God. Because there is none.

If you don't believe the Bible is true, why do you believe in heaven? If you don't believe the Bible is true, you are denying the existence of God, the existence of good and evil, and everything logical. Common sense tells you God is real, and therefore the Bible. The reason non-Christians will go to Hell is because they have rebelled against God. You might ask, if God is so good why didn't He save everyone?! Well, who are we to question God?! It's a miracle that He loved us enough to save those who He has elected! He would be perfectly just to sentence us to Hell, but He loves us so much he gave His son so gat "whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" (john 3:16)

Whoah... pretty strong language there, Ally_Yang. It just so happens that whenever people find something "wrong" with the Bible (historically speaking) new evidence is found to confirm what is written.  In other words, if you doubt some part of the Bible's accuracy, wait a little while and we'll figure it out.    You also use very vague terms.   "We don't really have a reliable source for that"   Um... so, what's a reliable source? Because there is evidence proving that the Bible is accurate.  If you say that this evidence is not relevant or isn't sufficient to prove that the Bible is true and "not all made up" you can just give up studying history.   I also find it interesting that people never call secular things into doubt.  For instance, there are more manuscripts documenting Jesus' life that the life of Socrates.  But no one says that Socrates is an exaggeration.  No one claims that his followers made up things about him after his death.  He is renowned as a genius of philosophy.   Anyway, this is getting rant-y so I'd better be going.

It's called "unconditional love".  It actually contradicts the hole idea of hell.
