The Veterans of Childhood
Flinging in the space of adolescence we experience things that will never be felt again. See things that would corrupt a younger mind. But not us… not the veterans of childhood. Although veterans we may be of silly childhood. We are rookies of the time when no one is a veteran, adolescence. The time when good and bad are blended together in a living the moment confusion. We rebel against old ways and when new ways are presented we leap forward eager to experience the new, the bad, the fun. Although fun during the moment it can be consequential later on, But yet we still don’t learn until finally it’s gone. The risk, the fun, everything. It comes in an epiphany a conversation a loss… anything. But when it does come you can either miss it or love the loss of it.
Adolescence.
