Can't We All Get Along?
Bullying. Last year I was made fun of, and sure everyone is. However, this got so bad I never spoke and when I did it was hissing through shut teeth. My voice was always etched with anger and tinged with hate. The people who did it never relented, never stopped, and never did they think twice about what they were doing. I hated them for quite a while until one day I realized, why hate something I can't change? Why loathe the things that others have done? I wasn't the things they said I was. I never did the things they said I had. Seeing me angry was only giving them happiness, so I stopped. Stopped listening, stopped paying attention, stopped caring about them and their harsh words. I let them speak and allowed them to continue the rumors, but once I let go I felt so, so much better about everything. However, I still wonder, why is it we all can't seem to get along?
