Parents need to limit their children’s time on electronic games.

Kids tend to play games on the computers in class. You look around your classroom and you see kids playing games. Even when kids are at home they play games for a large amount of time, which takes away from homework time.

Why do kids have access to games in school? Why don’t kids spend enough time on their homework? Why don’t parents limit their child’s time on computers?

Schools need to block computer games and parents need to limit their children’s time on games.

Kids happen to spend a lot of time on games throughout the week.

CBS news says kids spend less time on their homework because their spending too much time playing games. thirty-six percent of kids play games instead of doing homework. eighty percent of that percentage are boys. On weekdays kids play games for almost two hours. On weekends they play for over two hours. If parents limit kids time on the computer more of that time will go to homework. If more of that time goes to homework than it will have an effect on kids grades.

The average twenty-one year old has spent ten thousand hours playing computer games. If parents can lower kids times on games kids that ten thousand hours can decrease. That means kids will spend more time on homework.

The average eight to twelve year old spends thirteen hours a week playing games. That means kids spend almost two hours a day playing games.

Kids will not agree with the idea of blocking computer games in school. Or with parents limiting their times.
Would you rather have your children’s brain fried from games? Or would you rather them have a great future ahead of them?

It doesn’t mean your child can’t play games. It means to limit their time. A half an hour to forty-five minutes is a enough time for your child.
Some kids think that it is a bad idea but some kids agree.
Jeffery, a student from RAUC, believes that we should have no limited time on games or computers.
Angelica, Fourteen year old girl from Rindge Ave Upper Campus, thinks that we should have a limited time on games and computers and that forty-five minutes is enough.

Studies show that kids who play violent video games for a large amount of time can be more aggressive. They also a prone to get into more arguments with their teachers. Kids who play for a large amount of time are also prone to get into fights with the people around them. The most of all, you may see lack of achievement in school. You would not want your child failing classes, getting into fights and arguments with teachers and peers. Limit your child's time to games it may help your child in the long run.
