Your reading this, right?
You probably think you are, or wish to be more...unique. More yourself.
This desire in itself is hypocritical, but that's not what matters.
I want to talk about. I want to tell you about conformity. Conformity is defined as action in accord
with prevailing social standards, attitudes, practices and so on.
This used to be seen as the 'nerd' or 'geek'. Those who spent
all their time learning and becoming better academically. The 'cool' kids were all just getting by in
school and doing what they wanted to.
This opinion has stayed strong.
Teenagers like you and I think that its cool to go do some marijuana or something.
On the "Teen Ink" website, people like to write poetry about how life sucks and how things aren't good.
They feel like it makes them unique, their pain separating them from the crowds.
However, this seems to have become the new way to be like everyone else.
These people, trying so hard to be themselves, became the new connformists.
The kid trying to become an accountant and just silently moving along with his/her life is harder to
come by than these so called unique people.

So that's the comment question.

Where did all the nerds go?
