"Does America Still Have Heroes?"
What is a hero? Webster defines a hero as “an object of extreme admiration and devotion.” However, I think that it is much more than that. A true hero is someone who is worthy of the respect of others. A hero is willing to give of himself for others. Some people idolize famous athletes, or musicians. These superstars may be great people, but there are others who are much more worthy than them. Take our soldiers for example. They risk their lives, selflessly serving so that we can be safe. It is because of their sacrifice that I can sleep at night, without worrying about being attacked by any other nation. So I believe that the true heroes in our time are our soldiers.
