Halloween is one of the most popular holidays in the world as everyone loves trick or treating, going to parties, and eating candy. Dressing up and wearing costumes is the biggest part, especially in the world of celebrities as many never fail to impress. 2021 was the year in which we saw hundreds of stars unveil their creative, scary, and fun costumes. In this article, I will be pointing out the top ten best celebrity costumes of this year. 

        From the KarJenners to Little Mix, these stars always dress the best. One of the best costumes was Hailey Bieber who dressed up as both Britney Spears and Mia Thermopolis from the “Princess Diaries.” The model not only dressed up, but she also had photoshoots similar to those of Britney Spears herself, and recreated Anne Hathaway’s iconic picture as Mia. Another star includes Lizzo as Yoda. The singer not only wore a costume, but had her makeup done, in a way which made her look exactly like Yoda, realistic Yoda ears. Next we have The Weeknd, who like Lizzo, also had us blown away by his makeup, which made him look exactly like legendary Marlon Brando from “The Godfather.” Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom also had us laughing with their ironic costumes; a syringe and a doctor. Their looks involved no makeup as Katy put on a whole syringe injection shaped outfit; her inspiration was probably this year! Janelle Monet also had eyes popping with her Grinch costume. One would not be able to tell if the costume was really just a costume, as her makeup and outfit are exactly on point. Then we have Camilla Mendes and Madelaine Ptesch dressed as Velma and Daphne from “Scooby Doo.” Their costumes made us realize that if there is another live action, well, we know who to call! Lastly, Jade Thirwall impressed us with her Simpson’s costume, to the point where we wondered if Marge Simpson came to life or not! 

           Overall, celebrities go all out on Halloween with their creative costumes. Each year, they inspire and make us realize how talented people really are. Halloween is a holiday that gives us a chance to be who we want to be, wear what we want to wear, and eat what we want to eat without any judgement. This year, with awesome costumes, celebrities left a great impression on the public.
