Harry's House Album Review

Harry Styles recently released a new album on May 20, 2022. This album is called Harry’s House and the genre is Pop according to Apple Music. I listened to this a few days after it came out and I wasn’t really eager to listen to it, but I’ve enjoyed Styles’ other albums so I knew eventually I was going to listen to it. When I listened to the album, I expected not to like it but as I continued with each song, it just progressively got better. I really enjoyed the way there was a song for every mood a person may be in. There’s Late Night Talking or Music For A Sushi Restaurant which are both very upbeat and mood boosting songs, while also having Matilda or Little Freak both being slower songs to listen to when upset, or just winding down. Also, when I first listened to it there were songs that I thought were good, but not enough to listen to all the time or add to my playlist. For example, Grapejuice. I didn't love it the first time I heard it. But, one day it was stuck in my head and after listening to it another time and a few more after that, I really loved it and now it is one of my favorites on the album. When comparing to his other albums, I personally think this is one of his best. I resonate with many of the lyrics and I can really feel what he is singing and picture the scenarios in the songs vividly with the way he sings them and puts emphasis on certain lyrics. If I were to recommend certain songs to a new listener from the album, I would say my favorites are Late Night Talking, as well as Satellite. Late Night Talking has a really upbeat tempo and is really catchy, but without having that annoying tone to it like most pop songs do. Also, Satellite for me is just an overall amazingly produced song. When I first listened to it I just genuinely thought it was a really beautiful song that clearly had a lot of meaning to the artist.
