Dear...
Dear exes,
I'm learning to love. I'm learning how speak without you finishing my sentences. I am learning how to fall asleep hearing only one heartbeat. I am learning how to stand without your hand on my waist holding me up. I am learning to eat without you. I have to cry without you wiping them away.
When you walked away I counted the steps you took. When you said the last words I memorized them. Little did I know they are like a lullaby that makes me cry myself to sleep every night. My waist remembers you arms wrapped around it. Most of all my heart misses you holding it together.
Sincerely,
Me
