Black Clover is my favorite show, and in my opinion, it's one of the best anime of all time. While most people would vote for anime like One Piece and Naruto, I believe Black Clover is underrated and deserves more recognition. To be my favorite anime, certain criteria must be met. First, it has to be a comedic anime with serious moments, but the humor should prevail. The main character should be an underdog, and the show should have overpowered characters who are cool.

Black Clover is an action-packed anime where magic rules, but a boy named Asta is born without any magic, making him a unique character in this world. As a commoner orphan with no hope for the future, Asta has been deemed a failure who won't amount to anything. However, he dreams of becoming the Wizard King to prove everyone wrong and show that social status means nothing. He also hopes to marry the nun who raised him, though she has repeatedly declined.

One day, Asta discovers that he possesses anti-magic, which counters magic spells. This revelation comes after he realizes that he was born without even a single ounce of magic. Although he didn't know it at the time, this discovery marks the start of Asta's journey. He joins the worst magic knights squad in the kingdom, filled with outcasts and troublemakers. Asta's lack of education often leads him to say and do silly things, causing mayhem during missions. Nevertheless, the squad always pulls through and exceeds everyone's expectations.

Black Clover features many overpowered characters, but the coolest one is undoubtedly the Wizard King, Julius Novachrono. He possesses time magic, which is arguably the most potent form of magic. It's challenging to imagine Asta beating and surpassing Julius since he's so powerful. However, knowing that Asta's magic is never giving up, it's thrilling to think that he'll eventually find a way to triumph.
