this is an outrage!!!!!!!!!!
There are many social justice issues floating around in our country every day. One of them is the growing issue of Gay Rights. The question is: “Should they or should they not have the right to marry?” In my opinion, gays and lesbians should be able to marry their partners. I believe that if you are a legal United States citizen, you have the right to marry, no matter whom you love. I think this issue is a hate crime, because we fellow Americans are being prejudice against others because of their sexual orientation. The new Gay Marriage Bill would solve this issue. It would allow gays and lesbians to marry those they love, and it would also bring much needed peace to the subject. Put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if you were constantly picked on and were not allowed to marry your partner? If you have a gay relative, you know their pain and you also know they are the same as you and me. So, the new Gay Marriage Bill would solve this social injustice by allowing gays and lesbians to marry their loved ones. As Americans, we have the right to marry whomever we want, so why can’t they? There is a very local group in the Central New York area that is serious about this topic. They are called the GSA. That stands for the Gay- Straight Alliance. It is all about supporting gays and their rights. This is just one of many groups that support gay and lesbian rights. Personally, I think it is time for change. I think the time has come where all minority groups become truly equal to every other American citizen. So, New York, are you ready to participate in one of the greatest things to happen to this glorious state? I think we are ready. New York State, please end this atrocity and sign the proposed Gay Marriage Bill.
