Lies, Uncovered
People always say "it'll be ok", but they never say the truth. They never say "life is crap, it's never going to be ok, so get used to it.". We all prepare our youth for happy endings, and fairy tales. But I have yet to see a happy ending, and I promise you fairy tales don't exist. There are no prince charmings, or white horses, magic pixie dust that lets you fly. It's all a bunch of lies. Santa doesn't exist, and neither does the hope that he brings... that hope that says that there is something to believe in... even if it's as silly as a fat guy with presents. The sooner we figure all that out, the better.
