Partial Beauty MAG
Partial Beauty
Super models on my door
Pasted thin sheets of paper,
Wasted thin, perfect flesh.
They're attractive like honey
To a starving swarm of bees.
The insect will sting and sting
Until nothing is left of these beauties
But their luscious lifestyle of diets.
The pressure of beauty makes them
Strut, long lean legs across a runway,
While girls like you and I live in
Our small town homes
Wishing we were that lucky.
Luck? It has everything to do with it,
Lucky dust was showered down upon
These made-up life-size dolls.
Red, full lips - silicone filled
Perfect nose, with wide eyes,
Long lashes to match.
Some are curvy with round, fleshy hips
More still are waifs that
Move with the wind and
Break with human touch.
Pouty and dramatic she speaks
With the camera
A one-woman show.
A perfectly drawn, perfectly plucked
Perfectly dressed
One-woman show,
While girls like you and I live in
Our small town homes
Wishing we were that lucky.
