What is my opinion of the ban on Japanese imports? I don't like it, plain and simple. But I will back up the reasoning of my opinion in this article.

Before I get into my opinion, I want to specify that not all Japanese imports are banned. Only certain Japanese cars over 25 years old are banned in the united states. That being said, I will begin. I dislike the ban because I personally am a fan of these vehicles. These cars are a hobby to a large community and this hobby has saved a massive amount of people from bad life decisions (mostly because you would end up broke because of your hobby but not the point), some people use cars as a way to express themselves and to show off their styles. But cars can also be used as an alternative to drugs. The reason I say this is because being a car enthusiast has the same feeling of euphoria as smoking or drinking, without having to alter your physical or mental state. And showing younger people about the car community is almost guaranteed to show them that they don't need drugs, guns, or alcohol to be cool or have fun. But the issue is that not everyone has the same styles.

This is where banning imports come in. Restricting the car options is causing there to be a smaller car community. And this reduces the chance of the positives I mentioned earlier to take effect due to the lack of interest . to make it simple: more car types = more car people. More car people = possibly less gun violence, less illegal drug usage, less wasted potential. Lifting the ban will have a huge positive effect on the United States. This is only a couple of benefits that were roughly explained but there is so much more if I was to get technical. But the purpose of this is just to point this issue out.

To make things clear, my opinion is a negative opinion. Hopefully, this article does not sound likes it was written by a child, and I hope that this opens up a new perspective to the car community.
