Summary:
The Uncanny Valley effect is when something seems mostly human, but isn't. It can only be gathered that humans evolved this fear of the almost-human, but-not-quite because of some creature that was almost-human, but-not-quite. A young girl transcribes in her diary her investigation as to whether or not she is one of those Not Quite creatures.
